Horse riding

In the Notranjska region there is a lot of beautiful locations for horse riding but only a handful of riding centres. The largest horse riding center is at Prestranek Castle (between Postojna and Pivka) and offers a possibility of riding on Icelandic horses, for which you don’t need special capacity. For more experienced horse riders there are stallions available at the tourist farm Kontrabantar in Dolenja Vas. Extremely beautiful fields around Cerknica Lake can’t leave you indifferent.

Depending on your experiences we can advise you about the right choice of horse riding. This could be a 5 day family holiday, where your children acquire theoretical knowledge about horses and learn to care for them (the entertainer attends to children’s workshops, social evenings and various games) or the afternoon adventure around Cerknica Lake.
