We offer you two historic walking paths that lead you from Hotel Sport, through the old part of town (Majlont) to Sovič. Borojevič path/2 km is a historical path, of which famous general of Austro-Hungarian Army Svetozar Borojevič has walked and was once already marked (Italians removed all the signs after occupation). The path leads around Sovič, where we can visit the remains of the chestnut promenade, the royal throne, cut in stone and the old lime tree of special shapes. The General was always accompanied by two soldiers with sabres.
The shortest path/Adelsberg castle/1 km leads through Majlont to the remains of Adelsberg castle, which stood on the top of the Sovič Hill. You can view the Medieval Well, (which supplied the entire hamlet with water) an Italian shelter, the remains of a castle, bunkers and remains of the St. Uršula church (from this point you have a great view of the Postojna).
Free copies of the maps with description of remarkable surroundings are available at the reception desk of Hotel Sport. You can also donwload the electronic (PDF) versions from the menu on the right.
