Our ecology commitment

Hotel Sport is ecologically aware hotel and makes effort to contribute to a cleaner environment
in different ways.

How do we contribute?

• electrical current is active in the rooms only when the guests are inside (energy card system) and when the guests leave the room, they take the card out of the reader and break the electrical power. Apart from lights also heating/warming turns off (is reduced).
• hotel was built in 1880. 19th century building trends dictated wide walls and smaller windows, which means better isolation and energy saving
• heat energy produced by air conditioning device, when cooling the building is directed to the boiler room, where it heats the sanitary water - so it doesn`t need to be heated with solid fuel
• we take care of dividing the waste, so the recycled waste can be used again
• toilet water tanks are set to minimum use
• we monitor temperature in common areas and regulate it regarding to the guests' needs
• we heat only part of the hotel in low season and so save with greenhouse gases exhaust

Why are we doing all this?

Because we care for extremely diverse natural surrounding in which we live and want to save it also for our children.
